Print of the Year
"Manhattan Bridge 2"
While visiting our son last year in Brooklyn, one of our main destination spots was to visit the Brooklyn Flea Market in the DUMBO section of Brooklyn. While Stephanie was in her element looking at antiques, I knew one of my photographic bucket list spots was nearby. After Stephanie was finished, we headed out to find the spot, not knowing the exact location or how far we had to walk. Luckily, we walked around the corner and I saw them; two blocks away there were fifty people in the middle of the street taking selfies! So my next challenge was how do I get the shot without having the tourists in the image. Luckily, the street is on an incline and I was able to walk up the street to get the image I wanted. By the way. DUMBO = Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Underpass! Technical Details: Camera: Nikon D4, Lens: Tamron SP 24-70 f2.8 Di VC Settings: ISO 200, 68mm, f2.8, 1/250sec.
